The Group pays much attention to safety of shipments and security of cargo which are main priorities of all parties involved in the transport process, including consignors, carriers, insurance companies etc. This is also caused by the requirements of the controlling bodies.

The need in surveyor and expert services is accounted for by the growing role of insurance companies. The valid conclusion of a competent expert may save time and money.

The Surveyor department of the Group was established in 1998 in Dudinka by JSC "Dudinka Maritime Agency".

Its main activities are:

• making inspections of ship's holds by orders of charterers and insurance companies;
• control of cargo condition and amount;
• check of conformity of cargo fastening to requirements of secure transportation.

There has been not a single claim since the department started functioning.

In 2000 the officers of the Department have passed training at CNIIMF (St.-Petersburg) by the program "The complex system of technological security of sea carriage of all kinds of cargo" in order to improve the quality of services. The company has obtained a letter of attorney to carry out cargo certification under CNIIMF declarations.

The development program of the Department includes the provision of surveyor services in all regions of the Group's activity.
